Bay Village is entering the last quarter of 2020. As I have heard some of you say it has been quite the year, nothing has compared to it in decades. Bay Village has been very fortunate to have weathered the pandemic well. Yes we had our fight with the virus back in July, August and early September but that was when the entire state of Florida was leading the country with cases and had become a hotspot. The residents and employees have done a very good job with keeping the virus at bay. As a campus we will need to continue to be diligent in wearing our masks, social distancing, and handwashing as we enter the flu season. Until a vaccine is produced for Covid-19, the new normal will be operations as we have established them and been running for the past month or so. It is my hope and I am sure yours that Florida does not become a hotspot again and Bay Village does not have to go back to operations such as Dash and Dine only. I know how many of you enjoy the tableside dining service that Bay Village is doing and it is my hope that it will continue into the future without interruption. Some small group activities have been started and there are a few resident committees meeting as well with all of the participants keeping social distancing and everyone wearing a mask.
Three more months to go in 2020. It is my hope that these are a good three months for our campus in regards to Covid-19 and we keep it off our campus.
