Last month I was monitoring the thermometer that showed how much was being collected for the employee appreciation gift. Again this year, the residents and families surprised me by the generosity shown to our employees. Each employee truly appreciates your contribution to this fund.
As we turn the page to 2019, it’s time to look ahead to what is in store for this year:
- Bay Village will be working with SFCS architects in developing the schematic drawings from the conceptual ideas that were developed with master planning and memory care. I have heard a lot of positive comments from the residents about these plans. Hopefully, by the end of 2019 we will be able to go to permit for our various projects.
- I hope our new pool deck area is used this coming year for various dining opportunities. By the time you read this, the finishing touches on this new area will be just about completed. A group of us had our meal on the pool deck after the resident holiday party. It is a beautiful place to be.
- The touchtown app will be rolled out the first of the year. This will go hand-in-hand with the digital display boards and also provide a lot more information about Bay Village on your computers, tablets, and smartphones.
- In January, the point-of-sale program will be rolled out to all who use our dining facilities.
I will continue to have my campus updates and quarterly meetings throughout the year. I am looking forward to having a great 2019 here at Bay Village!
