I reread my Nichols’ Notes column from last August, a time when Florida was a hot spot for the Coronavirus. Bay Village’s dining room was shut down, with Dash-N-Dine the exclusive dining option. Also visitors were not allowed inside the building last August. We have made great strides since then with the vaccine for the virus and the “opening up” of Bay Village. The apartment floors that had their renovations stopped last year are now almost complete with carpeting and pictures in the hallways. What a difference a year makes. I am sure when I write this column in August 2022 I will be able to make the same statement due to all of the renovation work that will begin next month at Bay Village. By next August we will be 11 months into the renovations and things will be looking quite a bit different here on our campus.
We are in the Dog Days of Summer. Here is a picture of my pups enjoying the great Florida weather.
