December, the holiday season, has arrived on our campus. The decorations are going up and the holiday parties are taking place this month. For me, it is really hard to believe that the holiday season is upon us. Just the other day, I came into my home from the outside, after letting our dogs out, to a car commercial playing Christmas music. I had shorts and a T-shirt on and thought to myself it felt like summer, not the holiday season. Many of you have told me that the first Thanksgiving and the month of December feel strange when one moves from the north to Florida because of the warm weather. I now know what you are talking about.
I have been monitoring the thermometer for the Employee Appreciation Fund. The residents and family members showing generosity to this fund is tremendous. The campus I left has the same program for the employees, but what is raised here exceeds the amount there greatly. I know all the employees appreciate this!
From my family to yours, may your 2017 Holiday Season be a very special one!
